M Upender, office-bearer, said, “The founder of the colony, Somi Reddy struggled hard to save the land from being usurped by land sharks. Another B Varadha Reddy, had donated 2000 square yards in 1967 for Saraswathi Vidya Peetham which houses Adivasis to take care of their basic needs.”
Dr A Chandraiah said that the newly constructed Vajpai drinking water tank is leading to reverse flow of water which is resulting in lack of water supply to the neighbouring colonies. To ensure enough water supply the height of the tank needs to be raised.
