The second day of 18th edition of International Children’s Film Festival India (ICFFI), saw a team of child delegates, led by noted film maker Sanjeev Aatre who came all the way from Himachal Pradesh. This is the first time that the entire contingent experienced a film festival.
A lecturer by profession, Sanjeev is very passionate about films that centre on children and issues faced by them. He has made sixteen children’s films so far and has won several accolades. “My tryst with the Children’s Film Fest started way back in 1995, when I had my movie screened here for the first time,” said Sanjeev.
The ICFFI holds a special place for Sanjeev, as it has been his inspiration behind organising a film festival in Himachal Pradesh. “With the help of Children’ Film Society of India (CFSI), I have organised a film festival in 1997 and it has been a regular event ever since,” he added.
