Seminar to Build Visionary Leaders, Building New Generation of Visionary Leaders. College of Defence Management (CDM) conducted a press conference on Tuesday, highlighting the proposed annual national seminar of CDM on 22nd and 23rd November.

College of Defence Management (CDM) conducted a press conference on Tuesday, highlighting the proposed annual national seminar of CDM on 22nd and 23rd November. The seminar would be held at Ashok Hall, CDM, Sainikpuri, on the theme "Building New Generation of Visionary Leaders”.
Air Vice Marshal Rajeev Sachdeva, commandant, CDM, said, “21st century security environment will be defined by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, due to transformation of threats from conventional to non-conventional, diffusion of power from state to non-state actors, shifting demographics, public attitudes and perceptions, rapid advances in technology and a fluctuating global economy. Strategic leaders of 21st century will therefore be increasingly challenged by the complexities of dynamic and constantly evolving security environment.”
“Understanding these critical issues and the importance of being a visionary on the seat of leadership would be deliberated upon, during the seminar.
The seminar would feature eminent panelists from the Armed Forces and the civil environment during three plenary sessions. During the inaugural session, the seminar would be presided by Gen (Retd) Shankar Roy Chowdhury, PVSM, ADC, Ex-Chief of the Army Staff and a member of Rajya Sabha along with Lt Gen SM Mehta, AVSM, SM, VSM & Bar, Commandant, MCEME.
Shekar Dutt, SM, Governor of Chhattisgarh, along with the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Lt Gen Anil Chait, would conclude the seminar on Saturday.
The other panelists are Lt Gen RK Sawhney, Lt Gen Gautam Banerjee, Lt Gen SS Mehta, Maj Gen GD Bakshi, Gopalakrishna (IAS), Debjani Ghosh, Air Cmde Gopalaswami,and Dr Tessy Thomas (India's Missile Woman - Agniputri).
