Free Food Programme Launched at OGH, ‘Bhojanaamrita’ Food Programme. Satya Gowra Chandra Dasa, president, Hare Krishna Movement said, “We have been catering free food to 13 lakh children everyday.

Andhra Pradesh High Court judge, Justice Chandraiah, launched ‘Bhojanaamrita’, a free lunch programme to attendants of in-patients at Osmania General Hospital (OGH) on Saturday.

Under this programme, free lunch would be provided to 1000 attendants of the in-patients at the hospital everyday. The programme is a joint initiative by Mega Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd (MEIL) and Hare Krishna Movement.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Chandraiah said “It’s really heart warming to see that MEIL and Hare Krishna Movement jointly came forward to serve free food to 1000 attendants of in-patients everyday. Indian constitution also says clearly states that no one should die of hunger.”
“In near future Bhojanaamrita programme will be extended to other government hospitals too. The free food programme is being implemented in hospitals like Niloufer, Mahaveer, and MNJ Cancer Hospital.” said PR Reddy, Chairman, MEIL.
Satya Gowra Chandra Dasa, president, Hare Krishna Movement said, “We have been catering free food to 13 lakh children everyday. We are happy that MEIL joined with us in this mammoth programme. We have built the dining hall in OGH with financial aid from Rotary Club.”
Somesh Kumar, Commissioner, GHMC, said that the corporation has put forward a proposal to construct waiting halls for attendants. Dr D Ranganath, additional superintendent, OGH, lauded the services of Hare Krishna Movement and MEIL.
