Three faculty members from School of Life Sciences of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) Dr. Suresh Yenugu, Dr. Bramanandam Manavathi and Dr. Gutti Ravi Kumar bagged the prestigious Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) awards. Dr. Suresh Yenugu, is an assistant professor in the department of animal sciences has won the ICMR Swaran Kanta Dingley Oration Award – 2011.

Hyderabad: Three faculty members from School of Life Sciences of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) Dr. Suresh Yenugu, Dr. Bramanandam Manavathi and Dr. Gutti Ravi Kumar bagged the prestigious Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) awards. Dr. Suresh Yenugu, is an assistant professor in the department of animal sciences has won the ICMR Swaran Kanta Dingley Oration Award – 2011. This is in succession of the receiving the ICMR Tilak Venkoba Rao Award - 2008.

He has done his PhD from Osmania University and researches in the area of reproductive endocrinology, with specific emphasis on male reproductive tract immunology and contraception. Dr. Bramanandam Manavathi is an assistant professor in the department of biochemistry has won the Novartis Oration Award for Research in the field of Cancer - 2012. He has done his PhD from SK University and currently researches in the area of Molecular and Cell Biology, Signal transduction and Oncology.

Dr. Gutti Ravi Kumar is an assistant professor in the department of biochemistry has won the ICMR Tilak Venkoba Rao Award - 2012. He has done his PhD from Indian Agricultural Research Institute and researches in the area of molecular mechanism underlying megakaryocytopoiesis in neonates.
