SCB seals unauthorised function hall

The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) authorities locked and sealed The Pearl Palace Function Hall at Balamrai. The function hall had been conducting business without a trade licence and was not registered under the Food Safety and Standard Act (FSS), 2006. The food products and the kitchen were not adhering to the safety standards.

Also, the function hall had neither a septic tank nor a proper drainage system, thus leading to sewerage flowing out into the neighbourhood.M Devender, food safety officer, SCB, said, “The function hall and its kitchen were locked and sealed to stop further business in the interest of the general public health and their safety.”
