Author Chetan Bhagat feels that it’s not necessary to enter politics to do good to the country. Chetan was in the city on Friday to address FICCI Ladies Organisation(FLO) members at Taj Krishna. This was the first time Chatan Bhagat attended an event with his wife Anusha and his children. During the interaction, the author answered questions on several subjects asked by the members.

A member questioned Chetan if he had any plans to get into politics, to which Chetan said, “There is no need to get into politics to do good. Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda were never in politics. And they did so much for the country; I believe in doing it the same way and have no intentions to join politics.” He mentioned that people would soon see him in a new avatar as one of the judges of the seventh edition of dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’. “You must be wondering how an author can judge a dance show.

No, I am not going to judge their dance, but the latter part of it, the 'Baliye' part of it. I would judge the chemistry among couples,” he said. On a different note, Chetan Bhagat said that the youth in the country are confused. “The value system and education is the reason for this confusion. They lack direction. Once they are set in the right direction, there is no power that can stop the country from flourishing,” he said. “Never get settled in life. Never allow feelings of settlement arise in life. Accept challenges. Challenge challenges. Do what scares you the most. Be alive, all the time,” he signed off.
