Auto drivers demand registration of all drivers
Telangana Auto Driver Unions JAC has demanded registration of autos to all eligible drivers, and warned that if this was not done they would lay seize to the transport department office on Wednesday. JAC Convenor Amanullah Khan and other office-bearers on Friday said that the transport department has stopped auto registrations on the pretext that some irregularities took place.

JAC Convenor Amanullah Khan and other office-bearers on Friday said that the transport department has stopped auto registrations on the pretext that some irregularities took place. As a result, many genuine and poor auto drivers belonging to weaker sections were suffering a lot.
They said that the transport department was committing mistakes and stopping registrations and issue of permits, forcing the auto drivers to approach the court time and again. Following court directives, the autos were registered, but they were not issued permits. They requested Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to intervene and direct the department officials to start auto registrations immediately.
