Nand Kumar after losing the first game 6-25, but came back strongly and won the next two games against the 2015 state champion. However, reigning state champion and top seed V Anil Kumar, 8thseed D Ravindar Goud, 5thseed Md Ahmed and 7th seed MA Hakeem entered the third round.
