City-based multipurpose NGO, Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) was recently ranked among the top three organisations of its kind in the world by ‘Peace and Sport Committee’, Monaco as part of its ‘Ninth International Forum’. Celebrating this feat, a meet was held in the city in which former Director General of Police HJ Dora, along with SCF’s head K Saibaba, was present.
Appreciating the efforts of SCF, Dora said, “For the past 25 years, Saibaba and SCF helped thousands of under privileged children to take up sports and games.” Sports Coaching Foundation located in Masab Tank began in 1991 with three children and it has now extended its family to 600 sports enthusiast kids who are trained there. The international recognition is another feather in its award-laden cap that comes for its ‘Build India Through Sports (BITS) Project’, which touched the lives of over 35,000 underprivileged children and youth all over India.
Stating that this would mark a major milestone in their history, Saibaba said that the recognition would encourage him to work with all more zeal among the foundation team. “We aim for spreading our wings further to help as many youngsters as possible from remote villages and from metro cities as well,” he said.
