10,000 celebrate Mahavir Jayanti

About 10,000 devotees participated in the ‘Bhavya Shoba Yatra’ to mark the 2,616th birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir at Sri Mahaveer Swami Jain Shwetabhar Temple in Feelkhana on Sunday.

Manoj Kothari, Pracharak Committee member said, “The rally was held under the aegis of Sri Jain Seva Sangh, the Apex Body of Jain Community People in the twin cities.”

Jains chanting bhajans, displaying placards of peace messages passed through the streets in a disciplined manner. The rally culminated at Exhibition Grounds in Nampally where a ‘Vishal Dharma Sabha’ was held. Later, the Jain Relief Foundation orgnaised a medical camp for the devotees.
