Musheerabad: National BC Welfare Association President R Krishnaiah strongly opposed inclusion of Kapu community into the BC category while speaking in a meeting held at BC Welfare Bhavan in Vidya Nagar on Friday.
Yanam Minister Malladi Krishna Rao said a meeting of BC leaders irrespective of political parties will be held at Vijayawada on November 14. He said BCs will be deprived of jobs if Kapus are included in BC list.
“A joint action committee will be constituted with MPs, MLAs and MLCs belonging to BC community. The JAC will lead protests in favour of BC community,” he added.
Andhra Pradesh BC Welfare Association leaders Juggu Krishna, R Arun, Guduri Venkateswara Rao, P Adi Narayana and V Gangadhar took part in the meeting.
