Secunderabad: In a major move to beautify the campus and provide more space for learning to the students of PG College Secunderabad, the Vice-Chancellor of the Osmania University Professor S Ramachandram has sanctioned the construction of an Academic Building, a project costing worth Rs 7.5 crore.
“The location of the college is as such that there is a lot of disturbance when the classes are going on. The building would be an academic block, which would encompass the administration unit, classrooms, labs and a seminar hall,” said the Vice-Chancellor.
The PG College is planning to revive the BA course as part of their academic curriculum with Political Science, Economics and History. When asked, Prof Ramachandram said, “Yes, we have received a letter from PG College Secunderabad on this subject. Since they have sent in the letter late, we will ensure the same is sanctioned next year.”
“There is a need to revise the combination of the current existing pattern of BA course in the State to ensure that the students of our University become self-employable and not always target government exams. If required we will hold seminars to advise our teachers to come up with lively combination, which can make BA course interesting, example History with tourism,” he said.
