Kondapur: The roads leading to Raghavendra Colony from the Hitex exhibition centre are in a dismal state. The stretch has uneven surfaces and potholes that are proving to be a nightmare to the motorists and pedestrians.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has not laid tar roads in the locality yet despite repeated complaints of the residents requesting the officials to do the same. Lack of proper roads poses an added hindrance as school buses of two private schools located in the area use this path every day.
H Abhilash, a local said, “The roads are left like this for more than a year, the GHMC is not bothered to lay roads in this area. Many have met with both major and minor accidents as the Kondapur-Hafeezpet road is busy.”
The road has been an active accident prone zone.P Sharath Kumar another resident of the area said, “This road is horrible. One day when I was going this way I was about to fall, luckily I could control my bike otherwise I would have been hurt very badly.”
Another motorist, A Varun said, “It is very difficult to travel in this route, especially for the elderly and small children.”
