Call to provide 100 days of work to NREGS workers by March 31
District Collector Sayyad Omal Jaleel has ruled that NREGS workers should be provided 100 days work in a year under the NREGS before March 31.He was reviewing the progress of NREGS, Harita Haram and Swachh Bharat with MPDOs and officials at his chambers in Collectorate here on Wednesday.
Vikarabad: District Collector Sayyad Omal Jaleel has ruled that NREGS workers should be provided 100 days work in a year under the NREGS before March 31.He was reviewing the progress of NREGS, Harita Haram and Swachh Bharat with MPDOs and officials at his chambers in Collectorate here on Wednesday.
This year, more number of working days should be created for the workers. Moreover, the officials should ensure that those who had worked less than 100 days last year should be given work for at least 100 days this year.
He called upon the authorities to accelerate the pace of execution of toilets in the district. He wanted them to undertake field visits to inspect the toilets constructed. Their photos s hould be clicked and uploaded into relevant website. He wanted them to strive to make the district open defaecation free.
He asked t hem to submit him a report on the extent of survival of the saplings planted during the last two years as part of the Haritaharam after undertaking a field trip on Saturday.
He asked them to prepare plans for tourism promotion in Vikarabad, Dharur, Bomrapet, Pudur forest areas. DRDO Johnson and MPDOs of various mandals and others took part in the review meeting.
