Petbashirabad: A third year BTech girl student of Malla Reddy main campus at Maisammaguda allegedly tried to mislead the local police claiming that she had been attacked with knife by three persons riding a bike at around 9.45 am on Thursday.
This made the Petbashirabad CI Ravichandra and three SIs rush to the campus and examine the CC camera footage who later found that her claim was false. The police counselled the student, while seeking her cooperation.
The student stunned the police stating that she herself had inflicted the injury using a blade on the hand while suffering depression after failing in four subjects in second and third semester, the CI stated.
