The City Commissioner, Anjani Kumar on Wednesday inaugurated the Road Safety Summer Camp – 2018 for children at Traffic Training Institute in Goshamahal. Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner called upon the children, the responsible citizens of tomorrow, to bring about a change in ‘road discipline’ on par with USA and other developed nations.

Goshamahal: The City Commissioner, Anjani Kumar on Wednesday inaugurated the Road Safety Summer Camp – 2018 for children at Traffic Training Institute in Goshamahal. Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner called upon the children, the responsible citizens of tomorrow, to bring about a change in ‘road discipline’ on par with USA and other developed nations. He said that there was need to improve the way people travel on roads in India and these children when they grow up should ensure there was discipline on the Indian roads. This is a 10-day summer camp that will continue till May 12 and it is for the children studying in VI to X standard.

The activities include dance, music, painting, cartoon drawing, handwriting improvement class and personality development and generating awareness on traffic and road safety. The focus will be to create Road safety awareness among children so that they follow traffic rules abiding citizens and also spread the same message among their peer groups.

The Summer Camp is being organised by the Hyderabad Traffic Police under the guidance of Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police Traffic, Hyderabad and G Harish, Inspector of Police, Traffic Training Institute, Goshamahal in association with Honda Motor Cycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd. Saroj Bala, Aryan Dance Academy, Ananth Raj, Raj Events and B Vittal, Karate Master, Yoddha Karate will impart training to children on dance, music & Karate and other activities.
