SC/ST National Commission member lauds 2BHK scheme
National Commission for SC/ST member K Ramulu appreciated the double bedroom scheme for poor and needy initiated by the Telangana government. He attended a meeting with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commission (GHMC) Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and other senior officials on Thursday.

He said that 2BHK scheme might also be provided to the Bhojagutta slum people who were residing in very unhealthy atmosphere and appealed that every officer should work with more responsibility to extend all possible cooperation and help the SC/ST employees.
He discussed social welfare schemes and problems of the employees on this occasion. Speaking about the appointments on outsourcing basis he appealed the GHMC officials to follow roaster system for the benefit of all people.
He also requested the municipal authorities to install the statues of the legendary personalities which were kept at the GHMC office. He advised that a separate committee with senior officials can be constituted to look after the issues pertaining to SC and ST employees in the corporation.
Commissioner B Janardhar Reddy said that the GHMC was taking all care while making outsourcing appointments. He said that municipal body had provided insurance to the sanitation employees that were first of its kind move by any municipal body.
