Dundigal: Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy asserted here on Wednesday that the State would remain in history as the first government in the country to distribute pattadar passbooks and cheques to farmers under the Rythu Bandhu Sheme.
He was speaking after distributing 690 passbooks and cheques in this village of Qutbullapur mandal, along with local MLA K P Vivekananda, MLC Sambipur Raju and Medak district Collector M V Reddy. Reddy also honoured some farmers before handing over cheques to them.
The Minister stated that the government would strive to honour farmers of the village by changing the assigned lands to their accounts. He alleged that Telangana remained backward because of rule of the previous governments.

Among those present were Zill Parishad Vice-chairman Prabhakar Reddy, MPP Kavitha, Dundigal Sarpanch Kavali Ganesh, Jakkula Krishna Yadav.
