No more encroachments at Kapra Lake
The Kapra Lake shrunk to 83 acres from 163 acres but there would be no further encroachments as fencing has been put around the lake. The GHMC additional commissioner Bharathi on Friday visited Kapra reservoir along with officials and accompanied by residents of Sainikpuri and nearby colonies.

The commissioner assured the gathering that there would be no more encroachments and the government sanctioned Rs 22 crore for its beautification and development. She interacted with the local residents and took their suggestions in this regard.Once the 163 acre reservoir is shrunken to 83 acres due to encroachments, locals complained.
The local leaders alleged that illegal construction of buildings caused shrunk the buffer zone.She assured to take proper action after studied the matter.She also assured to develop it on par with tank bund of Hussian Sagar. Corporator Swarna Raj, state minority leader Md Badrudddin, leaders Kondal Goud, Pavan, Krishna Goud were present.
