Residents of Mallikarjunagar discuss ULC problems

Residents of Mallikarjunagar in Goutham Nagar division on Sunday conducted a meeting to discuss urban land ceiling (ULC) problems. While pointing out that they had been living in the locality for the last 30-40 years after building houses, the residents expressed concern that now being asked to make ULC payments of lakhs by officials.
Malkajgiri: Residents of Mallikarjunagar in Goutham Nagar division on Sunday conducted a meeting to discuss urban land ceiling (ULC) problems. While pointing out that they had been living in the locality for the last 30-40 years after building houses, the residents expressed concern that now being asked to make ULC payments of lakhs by officials.
They stated that as most of them belonged to middle classes and were retired persons, wondering how the amounts could be arranged. The residents told The Hans India that they have been meeting officials and politicians since 2008 to solve the ULC problem, but no solution could be found so far. They said soon Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would be briefed about their problems at a meeting.
