Mayor neglecting his constituency: Cherlapally residents
The residents in and around Cherlapally want Mayor Bonthu Rammohan to visit the area more often. The common grouse among residents was that the Mayor was elected from the area but hardly visits. Laxmibhai, a resident said that the people harboured high hopes after he became the Mayor but were a disappointed lot as the developmental activities have not taken off to the desired level.

In the meanwhile, Congress party Uppal constituency in charge Bandari Laxma Reddy on Sunday demanded that the GHMC Mayor solve civic problems. He along with local leaders toured in the division and said that the Mayor was not solving problems in his own division.
The Congress leader said that the residents have been complaining that the Mayor hardly visits the area from where he was elected. Raghavachary, a resident of Cherlapally said, “In his first visit after taking oath as Mayor, Rammohan promised the people that he would transform the area but there has been hardly any progress.”
Bandari enquired the local residents about their problems. The Congress leader warned to take-up agitation for solution. Congress division president Mahesh Goud, local leaders Venkat Reddy, Basha, Yousuf, Lokesh, Vinay were present.
