MLA Vivekanand launches CC road works in Qutbullapur

Chintal: Legislator K P Vivekanand on Wednesday launched CC road works costing Rs 18.3 lakh in his constituency of Qutbullapur in the presence of corporator Rashida Begum, Ward Member Prasad, local welfare association president Ravinder Reddy.

Speaking later, the MLA stated that he was striving to create basic facilities in every colony, ‘basti’ and villages of his constituency. He stated that development works aimed at people’s welfare were being taken up, with focus on areas which were not covered by the previous governments during the last 40 years, under the guidance of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister K Taraka Rama Rao and with the blessings of people.

Later the MLA, along with GHMC officials, inspected culvert work on a nala being taken up at a cost of Rs 1.09 crore in Chintal division. Speaking on the occasion, he said the work was taken up keeping in view some incidents that occurred during monsoon last year and after making payment of huge amounts. Vivekanand asked officials and contractors to expedite the work in view of the rainy season, to prevent any accidents and to avoid jamming of nalas. Among those present were EE Maheshwar Reddy, DE Lalsingh, and local residents.
