Zaheerabad: Following an item on the institution published on July 5 (Wednesday) in The Hans India, Education Officer Maruthi Rathor, along with his team, visited the school in Ratnapur village of Nyalkal mandal on Thursday. He convened a ‘gram sabha’ in the presence of local residents to know the problem. The sabha adopted a resolution, after the district officials discussed the issue and announced that the Kannada medium school would be converted to Telugu medium.
Sarpanch Dhanraj, village elders Pandlik Rao Patil, Sangh Shetty, M Maruti, Sadhulu, students’ organisation leaders Bandari Gopalakrishna, Ramesh Patil, Janardhan Goud, Garit Saab were present. They thanked THI for highlighting the issue which has been pending for 60 years.
