Tearful farewell to Vadenna, teacher par excellence

Vikarabad: The bond between the teacher and the taught is unique. The teacher is not only a guru, but also serves as a friend, philosopher and guide to many, if not all. Bomraspet ZPHS physical director Odenna shares similar bond with his pupils. When teachers from one school are transferred to elsewhere, students are not bothered about it.
But they respond with tears when their most beloved teacher gets transferred. Odenna comes under the classification of the most beloved teachers. Teachers are torch-bearers for students. In the same fashion Odenna contributed his mite in shaping careers of many students especially in sports and games. He produced many gems, who have excelled at the state-level sports and games events. Realising teacher’s importance, many parents authorize him or her to punish their wards in the process of educating students.
Nowadays, values have denigrated. There were instances of some teachers receiving punishment for misusing their authority by making sexual advances towards girls. But the Monday’s incident takes us to olden times when values are cherished. Under such a scenario, the bond between the physical director Vadennaand students at the ZPHS in Bomraspet reminds one of old days when human values thrived. As part of an ongoing exercise to transfer the teachers, the physical director at the ZillaParishad High School at Bomraspet in Vikarabad district – Vadenna -- has been transferred to Maddur.
Learning about the transfer, the students were shaken, deeply moved and emotionally disturbed and gave farewell to their beloved teacher with tears welling up in their eyes, as they have no alternative. The tearful farewell has been extended because the teacher was instrumental in shaping up careers of many a student with his wonderful talent in spotting the talent among the students. Many students won state-level competitions by virtue of his grooming, coaching and mentoring.
Ever since he joined the ZPHS at Bomraspet in 2010, he was instrumental in many students of the school excelling in sports and games events. Therefore, the students love them like anything. While leaving the school to join in the new posting at Maddur, the students were reduced to tears and would not allow him to leave. It has become a Herculean task for Vadenna to console his students. In the process, the outgoing physical director became emotional. He surely left the place with a heavy heart.
