Malkajgiri: MRO Ashwaq Ahmed seized one borewell rig for illegal drilling at JLS Nagar and filed a case on Monday. The rig was shifted to the MRO office. Speaking to The Hans, he said that Tahasildar’s permission is mandatory before drilling a borewell and warned severe action against violators. The MRO also appealed the people not to encourage illegal drilling. Local residents alleged that borewells with depth of 1,000 to 2,800 feet leads to steep fall in ground water level.
