Panchayat workers stage dharna

Maheshwaram: Panchayat workers, led by CITU, on Monday embarked on an indefinite strike in front of the Mandal parishad development office here in support of their demands.

Finding fault with the government for failing to keep up its promise to the panchayat workers when they had gone on strike for 44 days in 2015, CITU leader A Ravi Kumar demanded the government to release grant on the lines of the government of Karnataka and implement minimum wages for them. CITU Ranga Reddy district Shramika Mahila leader G Kavita and others spoke.
