CM opens UNICEF photo exhibition

Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated a photo exhibition in the Assembly premises on total sanitation campaign by UNICEF and Government of Andhra Pradesh. The 'Intinta Parishudhyam' (Sanitation in every House) is conceived and planned by the government in Medak district for providing complete access to sanitation facilities in rural habitations on saturation mode by involving all the stakeholders. The people centric program is aimed at providing access to individual sanitary latrine for over one lakh households in 502 villages across 46 Mandals in Medak district. This scheme is being implemented by the District Water and Sanitation Committee with the involvement of people's representatives, officials, SHG women, Community Based Organisations (CBO's) and general public at every stage. Speaker Nadendla Manohar, Major Industries Minister Dr Geetha Reddy and other Ministers and MLAs were also present.
