Hyderabad: A division bench of the AP High court comprising cting Chief Justice NV Ramana and Justice Vilas Afzalpurkar on Monday wondered as to why the citizen was required to approach the High Court even to get proper medical attention at the government hospital at Niloufer Hospital, a Paediatric hospital in the city. The bench was dealing with a writ petition filed by N H Sylvanus, complaining of the state of affairs at the hospital. He contended that the hospital did not have proper ventilators etc. The acting chief justice at one point even suggested that the court would appoint two advocates of the high court to study the conditions at Niloufer. The government pleader, however, sought time to file a counter affidavit narrating the facilities currently available at the hospital.
