194 engineers promoted in Irrigation department
Hyderabad: The State government on Tuesday has given promotions to 194 engineers working in various medium and major irrigation projects. The promotions and transfers implemented at a time when the bifurcation moves were on raised the eye-brows of many when the Congress Working Committee and UPA coordination committee announced the constituting of Telangana State.

The promotions and transfers implemented at a time when the bifurcation moves were on raised the eye-brows of many when the Congress Working Committee and UPA coordination committee announced the constituting of Telangana State.
A total of 150 deputy engineers have been promoted as executive engineers, 32 executive engineers as superintendent engineers and 12 superintendent engineers as chief engineers. The engineers given promotions have been transferred to various irrigation projects. The engineers working in Somasila, Pulichintala, Pranahita-Chevella, Nagarjunasagar, Polavaram and other medium and major irrigation projects in the State have been promoted to higher posts.
