CM is partisan, T mantris tell Digvijay

A day after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy made a strong plea to delay the process of bifurcation, senior ministers from Telangana region led by minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy met the AICC in-charge of state affairs Digvijay Singh on Thursday and registered strong complaint against the Chief Minister. They told Digvijay that Kiran was behaving in a partisan manner. It is learnt that Jana Reddy told Digvijay Singh that the Chief Minister should not have given permission to the APNGOs to hold any public meeting in Hyderabad on September 7. He said that it could lead to problems of law and order and could provoke passions.

Hyderabad/New Delhi: A day after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy made a strong plea to delay the process of bifurcation, senior ministers from Telangana region led by minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy met the AICC in-charge of state affairs Digvijay Singh on Thursday and registered strong complaint against the Chief Minister. They told Digvijay that Kiran was behaving in a partisan manner. It is learnt that Jana Reddy told Digvijay Singh that the Chief Minister should not have given permission to the APNGOs to hold any public meeting in Hyderabad on September 7. He said that it could lead to problems of law and order and could provoke passions.

He said the government had refused permission in the past to pro-Telangana organisations but in this case the permission was granted with great speed. Jana Reddy is understood to have said that this had resulted in creating doubts and apprehensions in the minds of the people of T region that the Centre was having a second thought.

Digvijay Singh, according to minister for IT Ponnala Laxmaiah, told them that since the state government had taken a decision to allow APNGOs to hold the meeting, the T protagonists should show restraint and they should remain calm.
