Hyderabad: The decision on Jagan's bail petition will be out today. The arguments from both sides have already been concluded. Hence, the decision is likely to be out on Monday. Based on the instructions given by the Supreme Court of India, the verdict is about to come in a few hours.
It may be recalled that on 18th, the court had reserved its verdict till Monday. The lawyer representing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy pleaded that Jagan should be immediately granted bail as the CBI interrogation had already concluded. It's worth mentioning here that the court had dismissed Jagan's bail petition in the past considering the fact that the CBI was yet to finish probe in the disproportion of assets case.
The CBI contended that Jagan might influence the witnesses if granted granted. Jagan's lawyer recalled the Supreme Court’s ruling that an individual can be granted bail to defend oneself. He even informed the court that if the court feels Jagn would influence the witnesses then the bail may be cancelled at any stage. The lawyer informed the court that politicians are paying visits frequently to CBI director with respect to Jagan case. Now, with the arguments on both sides over, everyone are waiting with bated breath for the verdict.
