Hyderabad: The Union Minister for Home Affairs on Monday said that the Cabinet note on separate Telangana was not yet ready. Talking to media on Monday, Sushil Kumar Shinde said that he had only received the draft note. He said it would take some more time for the final note to get ready and that he would inform the media as soon as it comes for his signature.
It may be mentioned here that statement of Shinde last week, that he had received the draft note on Telangana fuelled speculation that the note would be put up before the Core group meeting on Friday. However the core group meeting got postponed. It was being speculated that the note would be presented to the cabinet either on Tuesday or October 3. Following this, Congress leaders from Seemandhra and Telangana region rushed to New Delhi to lobby.
