An MMTS train running between Lingampally and Faluknama stations has been darted at Namaplly railway station on Wednesday morning.The train rushed up to the dead end of the platform No 2 and halted after a strong hit. In this accident, four compartments of the MMTS derailed, while the driver's cabin got completely damaged.

HYDERABAD: An MMTS train running between Lingampally and Hyderabad stations has been darted at Namaplly railway station on Wednesday morning. The train rushed up to the dead end of the platform No 2 and halted after a strong hit. In this accident, four compartments of the MMTS derailed, while the driver's cabin got completely damaged.

The driver of the train who could not come out of the cabin was rescued by the assistance team. He was immediately rushed to Osmania hospital. According to sources, the accident was caused due to the sudden failure of brakes. The scheduled trains being departured from Nampally station are delayed by few minutes. The railway staff is on the job to bring the situation under control.
