According to the SR Nagar inspector Prabhakar, a teacher named Bhujanga Rao, originally hailing from Amudalavalasa in Srikakulam district has been residing in Lakshmi Narasimha Nagar near Jubilee hills in Hyderabad for quite some time. He has been recently married and has been working as a Mathematics teacher in SR Nagar Sri Chaitanya School. He started misbehaving with the 8th class students of his school for quite some time. He used to call the girl students one after another to him after the school hours and used to assault them, sexually.

The victimized girls complained with their parents of the incidents. On Thursday, they called on the principal of the school, Usha Devi and complained against him and later informed the SR Nagar police station.
