Corporates harp on walk, run, ride mantra

Over 800 employees of Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services (EGS) participated in the third edition of the company’s annual 10K walk-run-ride event on Saturday. The event began at the company’s office at Raidurgam and circled back from Raheja Mindspace. It was to promote walking, running, and cycling as greener and healthier commute options and aimed to create awareness on building a sustainable environment.

“We encourage our team members to participate in the EGS event as well as take part in running and riding events across the country,” said Aveek Mukherjee, managing director, Wells Fargo India Solutions. Vishnupriya Saksena, head of corporate sustainability, Wells Fargo India Solutions, said, “We are committed to finding new ways to minimise energy consumption, use renewable sources of energy, and work towards influencing our communities to do the same.

We put into practice several everyday green initiatives, volunteer teams continue to work to educate and create awareness about sustainable practices at work and life. Team members also participate in external initiatives that help the environment.”
