Ramanachary honoured
The 63rd birthday celebrations of Dr KV Ramanachary, cultural affairs advisor to the State government, were held at Ravindra Bharathi. Telangana folk dances were prominent at the celebrations. Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary was the chief guest. Telugu University vice chancellor Acharya Elluri Siva Reddy presided over the event.

CSL Rajam, chairman and MD, Metro India; P Madhusudhana Rao, chief executive officer, SVBC channel; Mamidi Hari Krishana, director, Telangana Cultural and Sanskrritha Saaka; and various eminent personalities were present. Natakotsavam programmes and a dance performance highlighting the Telangana struggle left the audience in awe.

The programme was written by Dr Vaddepally Krishna and directed by Kotla Hanumantha Rao. Eluri Siva Reddy and Mamidi Harikrishna sang praises of Ramanachary. Ramanachary was felicitated on the occasion.
