Many takers for postal services jobs

Heavy rush was observed at all the city post offices on Monday, the last day for applying for the 301 postman and mail guard jobs. Aspirants queued for obtaining applications and paying the examination fee. A good number of female aspirants also applied for the posts. The postal department had issued notification of there being 301 vacancies in the two States and that applications would be received between January 15 and February 16.

Kacheguda postmaster said, “We have sold approximately 10,000 applications with an average of 300 to 400 applications each day. We had to work extra hours to clear the rush. The same was reported in other post offices in the city and other parts of the two States.”
