The South Central Railway (SCR) would be flagging off four new trains in March. In the last year’s budget, 43 new express trains were announced for the entire Indian Railways out of which 12 trains were announced in the SCR zone. Eight trains were introduced.

The South Central Railway (SCR) would be flagging off four new trains in March. In the last year’s budget, 43 new express trains were announced for the entire Indian Railways out of which 12 trains were announced in the SCR zone. Eight trains were introduced.

“The remaining four including Vijayawada-New Delhi, Hyderabad-Gulbarga, Kazipet-Mumbai and Secunderabad-Hazrat Nizammuddin are expected to be flagged off in March,” said a senior railway official on condition of anonymity. In all, 14 trains were to pass through the SCR network as per the announcement in the last year’s budget. Nine were introduced and five are yet to be introduced. Three trains that were announced to increase frequency however have commenced.
