The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) pledged its support to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) nominee G Devi Prasad for the upcoming MLC graduate elections to be held on March 22. Employees from various IT organisations in and around the city attended the hi-tea meeting with Devi Prasad at Saalz Banquet Hall, Jubilee Hills, on Saturday.

Employees from various IT organisations in and around the city attended the hi-tea meeting with Devi Prasad at Saalz Banquet Hall, Jubilee Hills, on Saturday.

Member of Parliament Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Telangana State Planning Commission vice chairman Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, TITA president V Prakash, and TSPC vice-chairman Sangameshwar were the chief guests for the programme. TITA founder and president Sundeep Kumar Makthala congratulated Devi Prasad personally and extended his support to him. Sundeep expressed the expectations of the IT employees from the government and requested Devi Prasad to work towards it.

Talking to IT employees at the event, Devi Prasad talked about the various initiatives like creation of knowledge centers in rural areas, employment generation, IT employee’s job security and providing recreation centers. He explained in detail about the initiatives, which he is planning to implement upon his successful victory in the MLC elections.

Devi Prasad also observed the apprehension in the current society that IT professionals in work like machines all the day and are left with no time for other things. He said that TITA has cleared that false impression. “We are closely watching TITA from the past two years. Their contribution to the society is impressive. This is evident from Telangana Yuva Nirman – a skill development program in creating women safety awareness, Green revolution with a pledge, promoting Mission Kakatiya and other activities,” Devi Prasad added.
