On the second and final day of her visit to the city on Monday, Mata Amritanandamayi released her souvenir in the presence of IAS officers Ramesh Kumar and Chandravadan and lyricist Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao. Ramalingeswara Rao gave an enchanting speech highlighting Amma’s grace and applauded her role for promoting harmony through various humanitarian initiatives

Ramalingeswara Rao gave an enchanting speech highlighting Amma’s grace and applauded her role for promoting harmony through various humanitarian initiatives

Amma, in her message, said, “In today’s world, people experience two types of poverty. The poverty caused by lack of food, clothing and shelter and poverty caused by lack of love and compassion. The latter needs to be considered first because if we have love and compassion in our hearts, then we will wholeheartedly serve others who suffer from lack of food, shelter and clothing.”

Amma continued to distribute educational scholarships, pensions to senior citizens and sewing machines to the poor. She will leaving the city on Tuesday and will now travel to Pune, Mumbai, Ahamedabad, Jaipur and finally arrive at New Delhi on April 4 where she would meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
