Indonesia to review AirAsia operations

"We will review the entire operations of AirAsia Indonesia to make sure its performance can be better in future," Jonan said at a press conference.

"We will review a lot of things, including its business operations so that we can later see safety improvements," Jakarta Post quoted the minister as saying.

He also asked the airline management to pay attention to regulations in Indonesia regarding compensation to family members and relatives of the passengers, as well as insurance.

According to the airline, out of the total people on board from Surabaya in Java to Singapore, 155 were Indonesians, three were South Koreans, one was British, one was French, one was Malaysian and one was Singaporean.
