Inaugurating the Big-Bang-2016 State-level science fair at Imampet village in Suryapet district, Praveen Kumar said four social welfare residential schools have been sanctioned by the State government to Suryapet district. 

Suryapet: Secretary of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions (TSWREIS) RS Praveen Kumar on Monday informed that robotic laboratories and science labs would be setup in all the social welfare educational institutions in the State.

Inaugurating the Big-Bang-2016 State-level science fair at Imampet village in Suryapet district, Praveen Kumar said four social welfare residential schools have been sanctioned by the State government to Suryapet district.

In addition to them, a women’s residential college would also come up in Suryapet town soon. Seven acres of land would be allocated to each newly-sanctioned social welfare residential educational institutions to come up at Jajireddygudem (girls), Munagala, Chivvemla and Huzoor Nagar.

Underlining the need to inculcate scientific temper in the students, he announced that measures would be taken to see that social welfare residential schools and colleges have robotic laboratories and science labs. Tabs would also be provided to all students studying in these residential schools and colleges, he added.

Stating that the State government was taking steps to strengthen residential educational institutions, TSWREIS Secretary suggested that students should strive hard to reach their goals. Reminding that he was also studied from 8th to 10th in the Social Welfare Residential School at Survel during 1982-85, he said students should emerge as scientists, engineers and soldiers to help develop the country.

District Collector K Surendra Mohan has suggested the students to utilise the facilities and schemes provided by the government to pursue higher education. Students of different schools exhibited their models and projects at the science fair.
