Nalgonda: VIRASAM leader Varavara Rao said that demonetisation move by the Narendra Modi government was second phase symptom of imperialism.
Speaking at Democratic Teachers Federation (DTF) State-level meeting, Varavara Rao reminded that the decision has hit poor more than the rich. In all, 90 people died in the country due to demonetisation, he pointed out. There might be more deaths that might not had seen light, he added.
Strongly opposing the State government’s move to allow establishment of private universities in the State, he questioned as to how they can expect such a decision from the government, which was chanting KG to PG free education. All the universities in the State were lacking facilities and staff crunch.
Referring to the agitation taken up by Vidya Hakkula Parirakshana Samithi for common school system, he suggested that the intellectuals, social organisations, teachers and students’ unions should take part it and achieve the goal.
