People disappointed with TRS

Khammam: The district secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Bagam Hemanth Rao, demanded the government release a statement about the supply of water from Nagajurnasagar for Rabi.

Addressing the representatives of various people’s organisations associated with CPI party at a meeting held at CPI party office here in Khammam on Thursday, Bagam said there was shortage of food grains and fodder in the district as water was not supplied for Kharif and Rabi for the last two years.

“To help the farming community, water must be supplied continuously to the ayacut of Nagarjunasagar,” he demanded. He also said the disappointment in the public against the ruling TRS was increasing after it failed to keep the election promises it made to people.

“There are no signs of implementation of the schemes such as KG to PG free education, three acres of land to dalits and two bedroom houses till date,” he said.

This disappointment might lead to agitation and a massive movement in coming days against the pink party, he warned. CPI district leaders Potu Prasad, Md Salaam and B G Climont were present along with others in the meeting. The meeting was held under the leadership of Shingu Narasimha Rao.
