One held for illegally transporting bovines
On tip off, Kethepally police rushed to the spot and found that 30 cows being illegally transported to Hyderabad in the vehicle. They took the DCM driver Pogati Shoban Babu (46) into the custody. Later, the cows were shifted to Goshala located at Nakrekal.
Nalgonda: The Kethepally police arrested a person and rescued 30 cows, which were being taken illegally to Hyderabad on Monday. Members of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Hindhu Vahini came to know about the illegal transportation of the cattle and halted the DCM vehicle, which was carrying the cattle, at Korlaphad toll plaza and informed the same to Kethepally police.

Kethepally SI N Krishnaiah informed that the cattle were being transported to Hyderabad from Vijayawada. The owner of the vehicle Shoban Babu, a resident of L B Nagar in Hyderabad, was taken into custody. A case was registered and investigation was on, the SI added.
