Nalgonda: Hitting out BJP, MP Gutha Sukendar Reddy felt that works of irrigation projects in Nalgonda district gained momentum after the TRS came to power.

Addressing the media during a press conference, Gutha informed that works of SLBC tunnel, Pendlipakala Reservoir, Dindi Lift Irrigation Scheme and Udayasamudram Lift Irrigation Project were going on a brisk pace.

Works of Udayasamudram reservoir will be wrapped up by the end of December this year and water will be provided in January,” he said.

Hitting out at BJP leaders for their comments on SLBC tunnel project works, he advised them to take initiation in fulfilling the promises made by Central government which were mentioned in States Reorganisation Act including national status to Pranahitha-Chevella project, establishment of separate High court, allocation of funds to AIMS, Bibinagar.

“Even though TRS supported the BJP unconditionally during the President and Vice-President elections, the BJP-led Central government has been showing step-motherly attitude towards Telangana,” he added, advising the opposition parties to maintain dignity and play a constructive role in the progress of the state.

The MP further released paper with statistics and details of money spent along with progress of works of irrigation projects.

MPPs Dida Rajitha and Pasham Ramreddy, TRS leaders Niranjanvali, Kondeti Mallaiah, Abbagoni Ramesh, Dubba Ashok, Linga Swamy and others attended the press meet.
