Khammam: The Staff and Workers Federation (SWF) urged the leaders of Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU) to solve the various issues of workers of Road Transport Corporation (RTC).

Speaking at a state-level meeting held with the representatives of SWF at Manchikanti Bhavan in Khammam on Monday, Federation’s state general secretary Vajrala Srinivas Rao informed that a letter dated November 16 was sent to TMU leadership requesting their initiation for solving the problems of RTC workers.

He said the Conduct Regulations which were practiced in united State continue even in separate State, which was total injustice to Corporation’s work force. He urged the government to change the regulations.

To exert pressure on the TMU to solve the workers issues, Workers Ballot programme besides a signature campaign would be launched, he informed.

He alleged that though the Corporation’s management has responded positively towards workers strike, it has increased the work load. “If the management fails to respond towards the demands, the workers will go on strike,” he pointed. Rao, meanwhile, urged the RTC workers to attend in large numbers to the meetings to be held on November 26 in Khammam, and on November 28 in Bhadradri-Kothagudem.
