Driver, cleaner die in mishap

Kattangur: Both driver and cleaner of a lorry died on the spot when the iron-loaded lorry was overturned near NTR Nagar in Kattangur mandal on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Mahesh Prasad, the driver; and Promod Kumar, cleaner of Jharkhand State. According to Kattangur SI Ranjith, the lorry loaded with iron (OR 07V5219) was going from Hyderabad to Jamshedpur.
The lorry was overturned when the driver tried to escape another vehicle coming in the same direction. Both the driver and cleaner died on the spot as the load of iron fell on them.
On information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Nakrekal hospital for postmortem. Kattangur police registered a case and investigation is on.
