T-MASS pledges to intensify strike

Khammam: The leaders of Telangana Mass and Social Organisations (T-MASS) forum on Wednesday stated that they would come up with an alternative political dais Addressing a meeting held at the Manchikanti Bhavan here on Wednesday, the district leaders of the forum Jwalitha, Yerra Srikanth and Kurapati Venkateswar Rao said T-MASS had resolved to work towards social justice and comprehensive development.

“Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to woo the backward classes, but it is a ploy,” the leaders said, referring to the government’s sops including distribution of sheep to Yadava and Kuruma communities.

“KCR who promised to make a Dalit the Chief Minister of Telangana during the separate statehood movement did not keep his word,” the leaders criticised. Moreover, KCR has not fulfilled a single promise which he made to various sections of people during Telangana movement and 2014 polls, the leaders alleged, pointing to the non-implementation of distribution of three acres land to each Dalit family.

The leaders asserted that they have plans to intensify their stir against the government in the next three months. Senior leaders Y Vikram, BV Raghavulu, Kathi Nehru, G Veerabhadram, Y Vinay Kumar, P Nageswara Rao, Lingala Ravi Kumar, Macharla Bharathi and T Laxmi Narsaiah were among others present.
